An air scarifier is an excellent tool for any construction worker, foreman, or home owner trying to remove adhesives, old linoleum, mastics, lead-based paints, etc. These tools are designed and built to be durable and rugged, while aiding in removal of various debris from surfaces and preparing these very surfaces for further work, including painting, whitewashing, coating in various finishes, etc. Air scarifiers are also superb if you would like to clean and prepare for further work different concrete and steel surfaces, aluminum, and so on. These tools are right what you need to prepare surfaces where small-area shot-blasting or sanding cannot be utilized.
One great thing about air scarifiers is that some of the models can easily be outfitted with dust and debris shrouds, while having a shop vacuum cleaner hooked up in order to remove loose particles. Air scarifiers are great at all three things, including heavy removal of surface material, light cleaning, and texturing. These tools are fairly easy to operate, while requiring only an external air compressor to power them. Air scarifiers are indispensable when it comes to removing concrete surfacing, road markings, upper layers of hardwood floors, and so on and so forth.
