Cutting pipes, bolts, chains, wires, or sheet metal may be challenging. Especially when you don’t want to settle for less than the perfect result - clean and accurate cuts. Without the right tool, you'll have long hours of tiresome work that may not always give the expected results. Luckily, a vast assortment of cutters and benders available in our store will let you easily choose the most efficient tools necessary for working with tubes, pipes, wires, and various types of metal.
Bolt cutters are practical tools commonly used for cutting off bolts, chains, or padlocks. They feature long handles that provide extra leverage and short blades that deliver outstanding cutting capacity. There is a number of cutting blade types including angle cut, center cut, and clipper cut blades. Bolt cutters are available in sizes that range from 12” up to 42”. Diagonal cutters will come in handy for an array of cutting jobs, used for cutting copper, brass and steel wire. Short beveled cutting edges allow for making precise clean cuts and plastic-dipped handles ensure electrical shock protection and extra grip comfort.
If you need to cut sheet metal or other tough material, snips will fit the bill. Snips are divided into tinner and compound-action categories. Tinner snips feature either straight or duckbill pattern for making straight and curved cuts respectively. They can cut through 24 and 16 gauge cold rolled low-carbon tin. Compound leverage snips have specific linkage that increases the mechanical advantage of the tool, allowing it to cope with 18 gauge aluminum, 24 gauge mild steel and up to 26 gauge stainless steel. Straight, left and right cutting styles exist. Serrated blades ensure extra cutting precision and prevent material slippage.
A nipper lets you remove or nip small amounts of hard material, including pieces of tile, nails, and wire. Nippers are made of durable heat treated steel that ensures long service life and makes it perfect for cutting copper, aluminum, or making irregular cuts on tile and stone. A tubing cutter is perfect for plumbing jobs that require clean and accurate cuts. Plastic tubing cutters are used for thinner pipes and tubes, while the pipe cutter with a sharp wheel and adjustable jaw grips is intended to cope with thick tubes. It operates by moving the cutter around the pipe/tube and tightening it until the wheel cuts all the way through.
