A hammer is a basic hand tool that can be found in every house and garage. There is a vast selection of different hammer types and all of them are gathered here, under one roof! A claw hammer is the most widespread hammer type for general work, usually with a wooden, rubber, or fiberglass handle. The claw is a curved V-like cut-out on the head made to draw out nails from wood. It can also lever up floorboards and other things or places needed to be levered. Now, the ball pein hammer is often used by engineers. Its sphere end is mostly applied to shape metal. Used for the same purpose too, cross and straight pein hammers can be at right angles to the handle (usually wooden) or parallel with it. The cross pein is the most useful in household, where it is utilized for hammering tacks and panel pins.
We offer club hammers, whose heads are double faced, and which are good for light demolition work, hammering masonry nails and steel chisels. A sledge hammer is good for heavier work - breaking up concrete, masonry, or stone. For lighter blows, you may use only the weight of its head. Our mallets that include rubber and dead blow hammer types are usually made from rubber and are used when a softer blow not leaving marks is preferred to that produced by a metal hammer, i. e., to form sheet metal, force tight-fitting pieces together, shift plasterboard into place, etc. They come with rubber, metal, or wooden handles.
Various types of soft-faced hammer are at your disposal, with soft and hard rubber or plastic faces. Some of them have got interchangeable faces. They are good for hitting such materials as chrome, while a steel face hammer would cause damage there. Sometimes, it is a good substitute for a mallet in a cabinet work.
