Hex bolts are some of the most popular fasteners in the world, which can be found in pretty much any vehicle and lots of various equipment. Meanwhile, even those bolts that look quite similar to each other may greatly differ by their characteristics. Apart from the overall length and thread diameter, hex bolts can be classified depending on their material, thread type, head design, and some other parameters. For instance, a section closer to the head may have no thread, which is crucial in some mechanisms. A hexagonal head can be usual, flanged, or come with a loose washer.

The last two types are utilized to increase the contact surface, while a loose washer is normally irremovable and helps to improve contact without damage to the contact surface caused by tightening. Besides, there are several grades and classes related to the bolt's material and strength. The grades refer to SAE standards and describe low or medium carbon steel that can be tempered and quenched, along with stainless steel and some other metals. Largely the same can be said about the classes, although they refer to metric standards. A large collection of hex bolts is available in our store, and they have been conveniently sorted according to many parameters.
