Deros™ 5" 120 V Corded Variable Speed Orbital Sander by Mirka Abrasives®. Mirka® DEROS is the first random orbital electric sander using advanced brushless DC motor technology, without the need for an external power transformer. Performance unequaled by any competitive electric sander can now be found within reach of any standard 110V outlet. Mirka® DEROS is exceptionally compact in size. Due to its compact brushless electric motor, it is about half the size and weight of conventional electric sanders, at 3.75" high and weighing only 2.2 lb The Mirka® DEROS also features a closed construction which prevents dust from entering the motor where it can cause wear and damage, resulting in a longer machine lifespan.

Features
- Throttle Lever: The palm throttle controls the variable speed by simply pressing down on the lever. When fully depressed, the tool runs at the maximum set speed up to 10,000 rpm. The throttle can also be set to act as a simple “on/off” switch
- Speed Controls: Pressing the soft-touch + or - button will set the maximum speed of the sander between 4,000 rpm and 10,000 RPM
- Dust Collection Shroud: DEROS has an internal brake seal that prevents loss of vacuum efficiency between the sander and the backing pad. The seal also reduces the tendency for the backing pad to free spin which can cause unwanted sand scratches
- Ergonomic Benefit: DEROS has a symmetrical design, which allows the sander to be used right or left handed with equal ease. The lightweight, composite housing is rubber coated to reduce vibration
- Quick Connect Cord: Convenient push-lock connection is molded into the handle to attach the AC power cord
- Vacuum Connection: The vacuum uses a secure, internal-thread design to connect 1” I.D. vacuum hoses
