Its P-graded aluminum oxide abrasive is good for making quick cuts without generating too much heat. This helps produce a consistent finish on a broad range of substrates. The disc's B-weight latex/paper backing (on the A296) and heavy-duty E-weight paper backing (on the H290) resists tearing while remaining flexible. Minimize clogging with the A296's water-based No-Fil stearate coating, and keep down loading with the H290's open coat.
