While tool boxes, chests, and cabinets are perfect storage options for light duty applications, service carts are indispensable for garages, automotive repair shops, etc. If you have ever faced the need to repeatedly move bulky tools, equipment, and replacement parts all over your worksite, you will like a maneuverable service cart that will tackle the job easily. This rolling workstation will keep your tools and equipment always neatly organized and ready to use.
Most service carts feature lightweight steel sheet / gauge steel frame, though some models boast an even lighter foam construction. Strong steel construction resists rust and makes service carts durable and perfect for heavy-duty use. The frame of the service cart holds a number of trays, storage compartments, and drawers used to move around car parts and equipment and keep all the necessary tools organized and easily accessible. Mounted on swivel and fixed solid rubber casters, service carts operate quietly and roll around your work area without marring the floor. A side handle allows you to easily move the cart.
Service carts vary in size and construction so that you can choose the right model that will perfectly match your specific needs. Available with deep shelves and a number of drawers, service carts allow you to hold an entire assortment of both small and bulky tools, equipment, and parts. The total load capacity of the most commonly used models ranges from 350 lbs up to over 700lbs. with maximum 6200 cu. inch storage space. Ball bearing slides on all drawers ensure smooth opening, while spring loaded latches keep the drawers shut. Some models feature lockable drawers with keys for additional protection.
Most service carts feature a tray storage on top accommodating your handiest tools and keeping them ready for use. The tray storage is normally covered with a lid that operates on hinges. Some models are however offered with a slide top or a folding work bench to provide a larger work surface. Heavy-duty side shelves can hold about 40 lbs. and fold down when not in use. To make your service cart better suited for your needs, it can be customized with leg extensions, drawer add-ons, storage racks, tool holders, shelves, top trays, and other accessories. Soft tool drawer liner will keep your tools protected from scratches.
