A string trimmer is a great power tool used for cutting grass and weeds around trees and in various parts of irregular terrain, which are hardly accessible for traditional lawn mowers. Invented back in the early 1970s in Texas, a string trimmer uses a flexible monofilament instead of steel blades, long shaft with a handle, and small motor.
