In 1946 the company incorporated in the state of California as the Durston Manufacturing Co. The company continued to grow and expand its product line. By 1959 having out grown the Pasadena facility, property was purchased in La Verne, California and a new larger facility was built. Over the years the plant was enlarged several times as was the product line which now includes over 600 products.

All VIM tools carry a limited lifetime warranty. Any tool that fails during normal use will be repaired or replaced at the company's discretion.
