There are several types of irrigation used in gardening and landscaping; in particular, sprinkler watering systems are quite popular for households. However, most of them need water pressure for operation, and in many cases, this pressure is created by an individual pump. This device is virtually indispensable when the main water supply line is unavailable or can't provide sufficient pressure to cover irrigation needs. A large assortment of watering pumps is available right here, and you can choose from numerous electric or gasoline models that differ by power and other parameters.

Meanwhile, before ordering a pump, it's good to know two basic things: the planned water flow in GPM and the pressure in PSI or bars required for the reliable operation of your watering system. Without these parameters, you're just guessing, and chances are high you will end up with the wrong pump. Also, check its characteristics carefully, as the labels of some manufacturers claiming, say, "20 GPM, 130 feet of lift" don't necessarily mean the pump can give such flow at this elevation. With some models, only one of these two conditions can be observed at the same time.
