Weld nuts represent one of the most common categories of fasteners, and they are used in countless applications. Weld nuts are specifically designed for welding onto other components. Thorough knowledge of their types, along with the required welding techniques, is paramount to choose the most suitable weld nuts for a project. Overall, these parts are ideal to make a threaded connection in restricted areas. Broadly speaking, tab nuts are more suitable for light jobs while hex types are perfect for heavy-duty works. However, these types are just two of all designs available.
Besides hex and tab designs, there are square, round, slab-base, flange, tube end, and retainer weld nuts. Commonly, weld nuts carry one or more special protrusions, also known as projections, which are welded onto the metal surface. Some nuts are made from stainless steel and brass. We offer a large selection of quality weld nuts available in many configurations and shapes and classified according to SAE standard. Available sizes include 1/4" x 20, 3/8" x 16, and 1/2" x 13. Weld nuts are sold in 10- or 25-piece packages.
