Usually offered with up to four speed setting, air drills can operate at speeds normally ranging from 200 to more than 2000 RPM. A reversing switch allows the user to easily change the direction of the drill bit rotation. Additional clutch is designed to regulate the torque. Some models feature adjustable torque clutches with as much as 24 settings for maximum accuracy and control. Drill bits may be offered in a range of sizes and shapes, though twist drill bits are the most common for drilling metal, wood, and plastic.
